BlackfishBLACKFISH tells the story of Tilikum, the notoriously aggressive orca who killed three people while in captivity. Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite uses shocking footage and emotional interviews to present a convincing case against wild animals for human entertainment. The film was inspired by the death of trainer Dawn Brancheau, attacked in 2010 by the orca Tilikum in SeaWorld Park, Orlando, Florida, in front of spectators. After that incident, the number of visitors to the park significantly decreased. The documentary tells how orcas that live in captivity can behave unexpectedly.
